Position summary

The Communication Manager is part of the Communications team and responsible for dedicated topics of GLEIF’s external and internal communications program, supporting the Head of Global Corporate Communication and in cooperation with the business stakeholders. We seek an individual with the ambition and skill to evolve GLEIF’s communications program for the newly developed service on verifiable credentials (vLEI). The vLEI is a digitally verifiable credential containing the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI). The vLEI framework creates a cryptographically secure chain of trust that replaces the manual processes conventionally required to access and confirm an entity’s LEI data. GLEIF is to extend the Global LEI System to create a fully digitized LEI service, capable of enabling instant and automated identity verification between counterparties operating across all industry sectors, globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop subject matter expertise and key relationships within GLEIF to facilitate communications activities accordingly to GLEIF’s corporate communications campaign
  • Support positioning of the Global LEI Foundation and the vLEI brand
  • Development and maintenance core external and internal messaging for proactive and reactive communications, to support the Global Corporate communication campaigns
  • Form the interface with specialist departments for the vLEI service, Financial Communication with related topics, e.g. Financial Report and other GLEIF topics (based on the global campaign) and stear communication for these topics
  • Be responsible for internal and external communication at GLEIF (web)sites including restructuring projects for dedicated topics
  • Attend the department´s editiorial meeting and stear processes and content development for responsible topics
  • Identify topics and develop constant flow of information for internal and external communication (for Global press, website, social media)
  • Coordination of external suppliers like agencies on a global scale

Experience and competencies for success

  • Experience in a multi-national, multi-cultural corporation
  • Strong communications skills with at least 8+ years of experience in similar functions
  • University degree required; practical PR experience is highly preferred
  • Exceptional personal skills including strong cross-functional communication and intercultural social competency
  • Knowledge of regulations/implications for the financial services industry is a plus
  • Working experience in the financial industry, with a data provider or in the IT business
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic work environment
  • High energy and to be engaged both inside and outside of normal business hours
  • Fluent spoken and written English (native speaker or equivalent)
