Position summary

The Business Relationship Manager is responsible for managing the communications and analysis required to establish, maintain, and evaluate relations with our partners, the Local Operating Units (LOUs). The Relationship Manager will work with the LOU Management within Business Operations to develop the partner management function and will act as a liaison to other business units as required to enable this function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface between LOU and the GLEIF headquarters in all account and relationship specific questions
  • Manage the GLEIF-LOU communication including assisting with the planning of GLEIF and LOU meetings or other related conferences
  • Assist with technical communications
  • Monitor relevant legal or political trends for the assigned LOU portfolios
  • Collaborate with other Business Operations team members and other GLEIF business units to assist the development of a strategic monitoring and oversight program for LOU accounts
  • Contribute to the continuing improvement of documents and standards governing the GLEIF and LOU relationship through best practice recommendations
  • Analyze statistical reports relative to each LOU account and report on trends
  • Analyze SLA or incident reports and assist technical specialists in communicating issues to the LOU
  • Prepare ad hoc reports to respond to specific business questions

Experience and competencies for success

  • Strong self-starter with at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar analyst or relationship management function within an international and/or multi-cultural organization
  • Familiarity with the operational and organizational environment of financial institutions
  • University or accredited degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or an applied statistical program is highly preferred
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, which are essential daily work tools
  • Fluent spoken and written English – additional language proficiency is a plus (e.g. Japanese, Arabic, French, Russian, or Spanish)
  • Exceptional personal skills including social competency, strong teamwork skills, and professional cross-functional communication skills
  • A demonstrated aptitude for analyzing reports and data
  • Flexible, energetic and able to work in a dynamic team work environment
