Position summary

We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Financial Accountant, who is responsible for the administration / bookkeeping of the relevant financial processes in relation to Switzerland and Germany including, but not limited to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day responsibility for Financial Accounting including financial statement preparation and reporting (interim and year end)
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual close and reporting process by preparing and reviewing P&L and balance sheet financial statements, investigating significant trends and variances and ensuring proper accounting for business unit's financial operations in compliance with Local and IFRS and GLEIF policies
  • Ensure compliance with all local regulatory agencies, where applicable, including legal entity reporting and tax reporting. Ensure all regulatory (financial and tax) filings are accurate and are completed and filed on a timely basis
  • Provide financial analysis on ad-hoc projects as designated by management
  • Ensure that all necessary internal controls are developed and included in policies and procedures and that these controls are properly performed in conjunction with adherence to GLEIF documentation and guidelines
  • Provide support during external and internal audits
  • Administration for finance relevant ERP systems

Experience and competencies for success

  • Good accounting skills with at least 2+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of IFRS, local Swiss GAAP is a plus
  • Experience with Diamant Software is mandatory
  • University degree Accounting/Finance required; professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent) highly preferred
  • Organized, fast learner who enjoys taking the initiative. Can work both independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic work environment
  • High energy and to be engaged both inside and outside of normal business hours
  • Fluent spoken and written English
