تهدف مبادرة "الربط" الخاصة بـ GLEIF إلى تبسيط عمليات التحقق من الطرف المقابل وزيادة الشفافية في المعاملات العالمية من خلال تعزيز إمكانية التعرف على الشركات وإمكانية اكتشافها عالميًا.

يحتوي كل سجل LEI على معلومات مرجعية رئيسية مسجلة من قبل مصادر محلية معتمدة لتمكين التعرف الواضح والفريد على الكيانات القانونية على مستوى العالم. وتضيف مبادرة "الربط" عنوان URL مخصصًا لسجلات LEI للكيانات المسجلة من خلال المصادر المعتمدة المشاركة، ما يتيح الوصول السهل والمباشر إلى بيانات التسجيل الرسمية لكل كيان والوثائق المرتبطة بالتسجيل على موقع الويب الخاص بالسجل ذي الصلة.

وسوف يؤدي هذا إلى تبسيط عمليات اعرف عميلك (KYC) ومعرفة المورد (KYS) والتزامات العناية الواجبة الأخرى لمستخدمي البيانات العالميين بشكل كبير. إنه يلغي شرط قيام مستخدمي البيانات العالمية بتحديد سلطة التسجيل ذات الصلة في البداية، والانتقال إلى الموقع الإلكتروني الصحيح، وترجمته إلى اللغة المحلية، ثم البحث يدويًا عن منظمة باستخدام رقم تسجيلها التجاري.
