Position and candidate specification: Business Relationship Manager Team Lead

Position Summary

The Business Relationship Manager Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and orchestrating the smooth and reliable operation of GLEIF’s engagement with the global network of LEI and vLEI Issuers. The role ensures that a robust operational framework is maintained, business continuity is upheld, and all activities are executed in line with GLEIF standards.

The Team Lead monitors and coordinates the activities of Business Relationship Managers across LOU and QVI accounts, ensuring consistent, timely, and high-quality execution of processes. Acting as a key liaison to internal GLEIF teams,the role ensures cross-functional alignment and that day-to-day operations run seamlessly and without disruption.

We seek a business-oriented leader with a strong operational mindset, experienced in working within an international environment and managing relationships with a diverse and global partner network. The ideal candidate combines relationship management skills with a rigorous approach to operational oversight, ensuring that operations not only function flawlessly but also actively support business growth, scalability, and the long-term success of the GLEIF partner ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Business Relationship Management
    function, ensuring all related processes and activities operate efficiently and in line with
    GLEIF standards
  • Act as the primary operational interface between LOUs/QVIs and GLEIF, while liaising with
    internal GLEIF teams to provide the necessary support and ensure consistent service
    excellence across the network
  • Monitor, guide, and support the performance of Business Relationship Managers across LOU
    and QVI accounts, ensuring timely execution, process adherence, and high service quality
  • Drive continuous improvement of Business Relationship Management processes and
    standards by identifying gaps and implementing best-practice recommendations
  • Support GLEIF–LOU and GLEIF–QVI communications, including the planning and coordination
    of quarterly meetings, workshops, and other related events
  • Contribute to GLEIF’s strategy and business development initiatives through active
    engagement with LOUs and QVIs
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of client data across CRM systems, client
    portals, and internal tools
  • Review and analyze statistical and SLA performance reports for each LOU and QVI account,
    identify trends, and support the remediation of operational issues

Experiences and competencies for success

  • University or accredited degree in finance, economics, business, or an applied statistical
    program is highly preferred
  • Strong self-starter skills with at least 5-6 years of experience in a similar relationship
    management function
  • Experience in an international and/or multi-cultural organizations
  • Exceptional personal skills including social competency, strong teamwork skills and
    crossfunctional communication ability
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Zoho), Excel, Powerpoint,
    Word and digital collaboration tools
  • A demonstrated aptitude for analyzing reports and data
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory or financial services environments is an advantage
  • Proactive, service-oriented mindset with strong accountability
  • Fluent spoken and written English. Additional language proficiency is a plus (e.g. Mandarin,
    Japanese, Arabic, French, Italian, German and Spanish)
