AI Terms of Use

AI Terms of Use

The following guidelines govern the general use of AI and the AI-powered chatbot provided by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF, “we”, “our”, “us”).

The chatbot is designed to provide general information about the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) system, GLEIF services, and related topics. By using this service, you agree to comply with these guidelines and applicable terms of use.

These guidelines ensure that the chatbot is used safely, transparently, and responsibly.

1. Transparency About AI Use

1.1 You are interacting with an AI system, not a human, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
1.2 Responses are automatically generated and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
1.3 Outputs are for informational purposes only and do not constitute official statements of GLEIF.
1.4 Users should verify information against official GLEIF resources:

2. AI Hallucination Disclaimer

2.1 AI systems may produce plausible-sounding but incorrect or misleading outputs (AI hallucinations).
2.2 Users should independently verify information before making regulatory, operational, or business decisions.

13.2 AI tools do not serve as the sole basis for publication decisions. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, fact-checked, and approved by an authorized human reviewer before publication.
13.3 Where AI materially generates or alters text, images, audio, or video in a manner that could affect the audience's understanding of authenticity, GLEIF will provide clear disclosure, where appropriate and in line with applicable platform requirements.
