The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has announced Dataswyft as the winner of the Global vLEI Hackathon in the Trade, Supply Chain, and SME Finance category. Dataswyft’s winning solution leverages GLEIF’s verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) to reduce friction in micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) financing, creating faster, more affordable access to vital finance through verifiable digital records.

AEO Trade (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. was named runner-up for its innovative integration of the vLEI with blockchain to create a trusted framework for global trade. Its “AEOTrade Chain+vLEI” model secures and verifies every electronic bill of lading, strengthening authenticity, compliance, and collaboration across international supply chains.

The Global vLEI Hackathon attracted over 110 submissions from teams worldwide, highlighting the growing impact of verifiable organizational identity in building trusted digital ecosystems. By enabling organizations to prove identity and authority instantly, the vLEI embeds transparency and trust directly into global trade processes—laying the foundation for a more inclusive and interoperable digital economy.
