GLEIF Opens China Representative Office to Drive Digital Organizational Identity Across the Region
GLEIF on-site activities will support the local government's efforts to promote cross-border trade and economic openness.
The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has opened a representative office in China’s Shanghai Lin-gang Special Area to meet growing demand for the Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) and the verifiable LEI (vLEI). The new office supports China’s efforts to enhance cross-border trade and digital trust, building on strong regulatory momentum and the People’s Bank of China’s roadmap for LEI adoption.
Led by Yanzhao Zhang, the office will strengthen collaboration with local authorities, expand LEI and vLEI infrastructure, and promote greater efficiency in global trade. This marks GLEIF’s latest regional expansion, following new offices in Tokyo, Singapore, and Mumbai.
