The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has qualified TOPPAN Edge Inc., a group company of TOPPAN Holdings, as Japan’s first Qualified vLEI Issuer (QVI).

As a QVI, TOPPAN Edge will issue and manage vLEI credentials to support use cases in supply chain management, international trade, and financial transactions, with plans to expand through a SaaS-based offering in Japan. Its vLEI service will be piloted in September 2025 by the BRP Consortium Business Site Digital Certification R&D Working Group to enhance supply chain management in the semiconductor and ICT sectors.
