Position summary

The Office of the General Counsel has the overall responsibility for the provision of legal services to GLEIF’s Board of Directors, management and staff, leading corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives as well as complex business transactions and negotiating critical contracts. The Student/Intern will support the Corporate Secretary in managing and organizing the Board Secretariat, operational support, compiling and distributing documents, coordinating meetings and conferences, maintaining calendars, and the production of reports, spreadsheets and presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Target and solution focused support of the Corporate Secretary in daily and project business
  • Perform document and records management activities, including production and composition of reports and presentations (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Assist with management of statutory information held within Co-Sec software
  • Creation of decision templates, presentations, analysis and reports
  • Preparation and organization of meetings including meeting minutes
  • Provide support on ad-hoc projects
  • Maintain board and committee records, including papers, minutes and other documentation
  • Administrative tasks related to the activities of the Secretariat

Experience and competencies for success:

  • Matriculated student, preferably in the area of law, corporate governance, or corporate administration
  • Exceptional personal skills including social competency, strong cross-functional communication, and people skills
  • Adopts a methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Acts at all times with integrity and discretion
  • Proactively seeks out opportunities to improve processes and ensure the effective functioning of the Secretariat
  • Takes responsibility for and ownership of decisions, actions, and outcomes
  • An excellent team player
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Flexible and able to work in a dynamic work environment
  • Fluent spoken and written English, additional language skills are advantageous

Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Scope: part-time (20 hrs/week)

All foreign applicants from outside the EU must have a valid Residence Permit to work in Germany. Students are requested to provide a valid enrolment certificate.
